The right part, on the van, first time
Morepour carries the parts its technicians fit, and Diageo pays for what is actually used.
What this is, and what it is not
This is a proposal about the equipment our own technicians carry to Diageo's jobs. It is not a proposal to replace Diageo's existing equipment supply arrangements, and it is not a one-stop shop pitch. Branded equipment continues to come through Diageo's own branded supply. What we are proposing is narrower and, we believe, more useful: Morepour holds the generic dispense equipment and parts our engineers need, fits them on the job, and recharges Diageo per job completed.
Why that saves money
Today, parts are delivered ahead of the work and the stock level is an estimate. Under this model there is no third-party delivery cost on the generic items we fit, no guesswork about what should be sitting on a shelf, and no charge to Diageo until a part is actually used on a job. Diageo pays for the work that has been done, not for equipment waiting to be needed.
First time, not second visit
This is the part that changes the economics.
A second visit costs more than the part that caused it. When an engineer arrives without the component the fault needs, Diageo pays twice for one job and the outlet waits days longer than it should.
The operating model we would run for Diageo is built to close that gap. Faults would be identified before an engineer is allocated. Stock would be visible at depot and at van level. The engineer sent would be the engineer carrying the part the fault needs, so a tap fault would go to a van with that tap on it and the job would be done on the first visit.
First-time fix is the measure we would want to be judged on, and it is the reason the supply side and the service side belong in the same pair of hands.
What we supply
The generic dispense parts our technicians carry and fit on the job.
Our locations for Diageo technicians
Our depots can serve as a holding and collection base for Diageo where that is useful, whether that is stock staged ahead of a project, equipment held between events, or a collection point closer to the work than a national warehouse.
That includes Diageo's own technicians. If one of them runs short of equipment at any point, they can come to us and pick up what they need rather than wait on a delivery, and what is taken is recharged in the normal way.
Events at scale
Diageo's brand activations currently rely on third parties. Morepour can take that work nationally, at any size, and free Diageo's own engineers to stay on the trade.
We supply and run mobile bars, multiple dispense units and free-flow dispense set-ups, and we have delivered installations for major events on tight timescales for years. Our sister company National Mobile Bars adds further capacity to the same operation, which means scale on a festival weekend does not come at the cost of the day job.
We can also act as the logistics partner for Diageo's own event equipment: transport it, clean it, store it between activations and redeliver it where it is next needed. Event work is priced in advance, so the cost is known before the event rather than assembled afterwards.
We can make it, not only supply it
Our group is not only a supplier of dispense equipment. A sister business within the group manufactures it, and its products are already in circulation with major brewers.
That matters here because it changes what a conversation with us can cover. Where an item is hard to source, or where what is available off the shelf is not quite right for the job, having a manufacturer inside the same group means making it is an option rather than a dead end.
The wider conversation
Branded taps, fonts and badges sit outside this proposal and continue through Diageo's branded supply.
We would welcome a conversation with procurement about the parts our engineers carry, and about events.
